Ryan "freakazoid" Abadir will play no part in this weekend's DreamHack Open Tours event due to travel complications, Ghost have announced.
The former Cloud9 and Swole Patrol player will be replaced by team coach James "JamezIRL" Macaulay, who has on occasion had to sub in for the squad, though never before in a LAN tournament.
The news comes as a heavy blow for Ghost, who saw in this event an opportunity to move up in the rankings after dropping down from 17th to 29th in recent weeks.
Ghost will be hoping to have freakazoid back right after DreamHack Tours, with the team scheduled to compete in the second round of ESL Pro League and at cs_summit 4 next week.
Joshua "steel" Nissan's troops have been drawn alongside AVANGAR, G2 and FrenchFrogs in Group B of DreamHack Open Tours, an event that will kick off this Friday at 11:00 and that will have $100,000 on the line.
This means that Ghost will attend the French event with:
Matthew "WARDELL" Yu
Joshua "steel" Nissan
Jason "neptune" Tran
Kenneth "koosta" Suen
James "JamezIRL" Macaulay (stand-in)
